God’s message

If there is one personal knowable God, then would He have desired to contact mankind, or make His will known to mankind?

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.  He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Psalms 107:19-20

It is hard (if not impossible) to reason a God who would create an intricate world, make man unique and special in that world, place inside of man the desire to know Him, and then leave that man without the answers to the questions he was programmed to seek.

God put in man the desire and curiosity to seek for Him. Why then would He not have given an answer to that ‘instinct’? Only a cruel inventor would create something only to amuse himself with the pity and suffering of his creation.  It is like telling a starving man he may have soup from a boiling pot, but not allowing him to have a bowl or spoon.  Because man has been given the desire to seek God; therefore God has given man the answers they are seeking.

JUSTICE

All humans have a sense of justice.  A price paid for a wrong done.  God is the originator of this value.  God would not punish someone for a wrong which He had not previously warned about.  Certainly “ignorance of the law is no excuse”, but a law that has never been established is simply a preference and not a law at all.

Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God, that they’re not to be violated but with His wrath?  Indeed, I tremble for my Country when I reflect that God is just and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” – Thomas Jefferson third President of the United States of America.

Would a parent tell their children to clean their rooms without explaining at one time or another what that means according to them?  What father would expect his children to read his mind and his desires?  There is a God and that God has revealed His desires to mankind.

“…who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.” – Isaiah 45:21

Do you agree that at some point God has given a message to mankind?
